My name is Jeff Falconer. I come from Southland, New Zealand, which is in the far south of the South Island of New Zealand. The summers there are moderate but winter-time is usually very cold! I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy at the University of Otago, a university located in Dunedin, the South Island’s second largest city in 1999. In 2007, I got a TEFL certificate in English teaching.
I have worked at several universities in China including Zaozhuang University where I currently work, Shandong University of Business & Technology in Yantai, Hunan College of Foreign Studies in Changsha and Henan University of Economics & Law in Zhengzhou. Before I came to China, I worked as an English instructor for 13 years in South Korea. I taught mostly in English acadamies there teaching elementary and middle school students. I also taught senior citizens in English as well as working at a kindergarten for a year.
I have usually taught conversational and spoken English subjects in China but have also taught other academic subjects including History, Writing, Grammar, Literature and Pronunciation.
